Single Sign-On and SAML

Overview

The Bold Penguin Terminal requires authenticated access. Bold Penguin supports authentication from your existing Identity Provider via SAML 2.0.

Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) is an open standard that allows an identity provider, such as Microsoft Azure or Okta, to pass authorization credentials to a service provider. SAML enables Single-Sign On (SSO) allowing users to log in once and reuse those same credentials to log into other service providers, allowing users to sign in to all of their enterprise cloud applications using their managed account credentials.

The following links will help you set up SSO and SAML for your Identity Provider.

SSO users have the option to pass a query string parameter as part of their SSO configuration so that they can go straight to the Agent Terminal and do not need to view an intermediary login screen if they are already signed in.

Bold Penguin will provide a subdomain to use for SSO configuration.

Query String Parameter:

?subdomain=<YOUR-SUBDOMAIN>

Example:

?subdomain=myagency
